The mobile app

Native iOS and Android apps, built with Expo, for staff, tenants and vendors. What they can do today.

The apps genuinely exist and work — they're not vaporware — but they haven't been submitted to either store yet. If your organization is using the mobile app already, your property manager will have given you a way to install it. If you're not sure, ask them, or see Support.

Who has a mobile app

There are three mobile experiences today: one for staff (property managers and their team), one for tenants, and one for vendors. There isn't an owner app yet — owners use the owner portal on the web, which works fine on a phone's browser.

For staff

From the staff app, you can:

  • See your properties, units and tenants, and open any of their detail pages.
  • Edit a property's details.
  • Work maintenance requests: view the queue, open a request, and add photos from your camera or photo library.
  • Message tenants and vendors, including replying inside an existing conversation.
  • Update your profile and change your password.

If your account already has two-factor authentication turned on (see Setting up two-factor authentication), you'll be asked for your code when you sign in on mobile the same as on the web — but turning 2FA on for the first time still has to happen from the dashboard on the web, not from the app.

For tenants

From the tenant app, you can:

  • See your dashboard: balance, next payment due, and open maintenance requests.
  • View your invoices and payment history.
  • Submit a maintenance request with photos, and track it through to completion.
  • Message your property management team.
  • View documents shared with you, like your lease.
  • Manage your notification preferences.
  • Delete your own account from your profile's Danger Zone — the same 14-day-grace, 90-day-removal process described in Exporting or deleting your data.

Paying rent from the app follows the same rule as the web tenant portal: it only works once your organization has turned online payments on. See Paying rent for what to expect either way.

For vendors

The vendor app lets you view your assigned jobs and their details. Right now, the Completed tab is the reliable one — we're still finishing the Active and All views, so if a job you're expecting doesn't show up there yet, check the vendor portal on the web for the complete, current list. Messaging isn't available in the vendor app yet either; use the vendor portal or your usual phone/email contact with your property manager in the meantime.

One thing worth knowing if you're a brand-new vendor: accept your Portal Terms and Privacy Policy from the vendor portal on the web the first time you log in, before trying the mobile app. Doing it on the web first avoids a known rough edge where the app can get stuck before you've accepted.
